Heroes is the third release from Nuremberg, Germany’s hard rock pioneer Frontline.  The interesting thing about this record is that it was recorded in 1996, and released only in Japan.  Frontline was a prominent and promising band that broke in 1994, but due to mismanagement and record label difficulties, their career was thwarted, and this, one of their best works, was sold only in Japan.  AOR records is releasing the remastered version May 25, 2018.  Founded in 1989 by Robert Böbel (guitars, keyboards; Evidence One, Phantom V), Stephan Kämmerer (vocals), Thomas Riess (bass) und Stephan Bayerlein (drums), their debut album “The State Of Rock” finally hit the stores in 1994 and is regarded as the finest album of the band by many.

This record also meant the breakthrough for the guys in Japan where they reached # 10 in the rock sales charts.  After the release, Frontline went on tour in Europe opening for various acts such as Gotthard, Crash Test Dummies, Bonfire, Tyketto and Cassanova.  Personal differences within the band followed and ended up in the departure of Stephan Bayerlein and Thomas Riess in 1996. They were replaced by Thomas „Hutch“ Bauer (Bass) und Rami Ali (Drums; Evidence One, Shylock).  This is the lineup that produced Heroes.  The record has a very mid to late 80’s rock sound.  Very keyboard heavy, lush vocal harmonies, and walls of sound.  Fans of 80s rock, particularly ballads and lots of keyboards, should definitely give a listen.

Red Reign toured with Tesla in 2017, and shared the stage with Dokken, FireHouse, Lita Ford, Kix, Quiet Riot, and others at various dates around the US in 2018. Stevie heard his first KISS record at the age of 6 and was immediately hooked on Rock and Roll guitar. Over the course of years his tastes evolved, graduating from KISS to Ozzy and Van Halen; and then into Hair Metal. Over time, harder and faster music drew him. Bands like Metallica, Pantera, and Anthrax led the way, and Killswitch Engage took him over the top. Stevie has a deep passion for the guitar, not only playing them, but building them as well.
