Resurrection is the title of the latest release from legendary guitarist Michael Schenker, but not as Michael Schneker’s Temple Of Rock, nor as Michael Schenker Group.  This record is released as Michael Schenker Fest, in celebration of Schenker’s current tour by the same name.  And like the tour itself, features not one, but four singers spanning encompassing the iterations of both MSG and Temple Of Rock. MSG vocalists Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet, and Robin McCauley join forces with Temple Of Rock singer Doogie White, along with guitarist Steve Mann, bassist Chris Glen, and drummer Ted McKenna and special guest lead guitarist Kirk Hammett of Metallica to release 12 brand new tracks celebrating the career and style of Michael Schenker.

Each track features a vocalist from Schenker’s illustrious career, with a few tracks featuring all four working together in harmony.  One of the strongest tracks on Resurrection features all 4, “Warrior” is a Classic Rock anthem.  There are really no surprises on Resurrection.  Well produced, strong performances.  Legendary musicians.  Fans of Classic Rock, particularly fans of Michael Schenker will most certainly enjoy Resurrection, and if you plan to catch the Michael Schenker Fest on tour, this record is required listening.

Stevie was a reviewer here at Metal Express Radio. He is currently the lead guitarist for Melodic Rock band Red Reign, based in Richmond, Virginia, USA. Red Reign toured with Tesla in 2017, and shared the stage with Dokken, FireHouse, Lita Ford, Kix, Quiet Riot, and others at various dates around the US in 2018. Stevie heard his first KISS record at the age of 6 and was immediately hooked on Rock and Roll guitar. Over the course of years his tastes evolved, graduating from KISS to Ozzy and Van Halen; and then into Hair Metal. Over time, harder and faster music drew him. Bands like Metallica, Pantera, and Anthrax led the way, and Killswitch Engage took him over the top. Stevie has a deep passion for the guitar, not only playing them, but building them as well.
