Act Of Creation is the third studio release from Czechoslovakian Power Metal band Sebastien. Members George Rain, Vocals, Guitars; Andy Mons, Guitars; Petri Kallio, Bass, Backing Vocals; Pavel Dvorak, Keyboards; and Lucas R., Drums, have spent the last few years touring Europe extensively, even making an appearance at Wacken Open Air in 2016. As one of the few Czech bands known beyond their own borders, Sebastian’s first two studio releases featured an impressive list of guest musicians, including members of Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Rhapsody Of Fire, Firewind, Savatage, Cradle Of Filth and many others.

Act Of Creation features a few guest vocal spots, but the writing and production duties were handled by Rains, Mons and Kaillo, keeping this third installment very much true to the vision of the band. The record begins with the title track “Act Of Creation”, a thematic overture that pulses with driving energy, but breathes with an expansive chorus. “Amy” is another standout track with its straightforward drive, dynamics, and hook laden chorus. “Winner” starts off with an almost hip hop synth groove. There are elements of Viking style Power Metal throughout, but Sebastien mixes a palette of flavor in with the Power Metal vibe. Fans of Sebastien’s previous work, Power Metal, and Hark Rock will enjoy Act Of Creation.

Stevie was a reviewer here at Metal Express Radio. He is currently the lead guitarist for Melodic Rock band Red Reign, based in Richmond, Virginia, USA. Red Reign toured with Tesla in 2017, and shared the stage with Dokken, FireHouse, Lita Ford, Kix, Quiet Riot, and others at various dates around the US in 2018. Stevie heard his first KISS record at the age of 6 and was immediately hooked on Rock and Roll guitar. Over the course of years his tastes evolved, graduating from KISS to Ozzy and Van Halen; and then into Hair Metal. Over time, harder and faster music drew him. Bands like Metallica, Pantera, and Anthrax led the way, and Killswitch Engage took him over the top. Stevie has a deep passion for the guitar, not only playing them, but building them as well.
