Parasites are nasty creatures who often castrate their hosts. So hold on to your kumquats before you get devoured by this sinister LP by The Parasite Syndicate. Inside, you’ll find dark themes with Djent sound, growls and screams flanked by sung vocals, and double-bass drums with Melodic guitar work. Interwoven synth effects fit in well and provide ominous cult ambiance.

This album has all of the ingredients for cooking up an admirable debut. That analogy is no joke; singer Rich Donohue is also a chef. There are only eight tracks on this self-titled work. But with an average length of five or six minutes each, there’s still plenty of music. If you’re looking for Metalcore that doesn’t play around, this British fivesome has your ticket.

Jude was a reviewer here at Metal Express Radio, living in Taiwan but originally from the great state of Ohio, USA. He first got into music when a fellow weirdo in his catholic high school needed someone to play guitar with. They jammed on some Grunge Rock, but soon he got hooked on the blisteringly-fast shredding of Randy Rhoads and other greats. Later, he bought Metallica's Ride The Lightning as his first album purchase. During that time, his friends and him would end up at local Metal shows. He played in some bands himself as well.
