Who loves cooking? Distant Sun does. Start with some Power Metal, add a slice of Thrash, and burn it to a crispy black. Delicious. And it’s what you’ll be served with your order of Into The Nebula. The disc has a medieval warlord theme with tracks like “Throne Of Iron” and “The Battle That Never Ends”. There is a nice variety of anthems and ballads without ever getting too soft. It will appeal to Hammerfall fans who are in search of a heavier sound.

This is only Distant Sun’s second record, but they sound very established—especially for a band of three. Into The Nebula has great leads and the bass EQ on this record is well-tuned. On a good system, you’ll feel it hit you in the chest. Russian Metal is on the menu. Satiate your appetite with some Distant Sun.

Jude was a reviewer here at Metal Express Radio, living in Taiwan but originally from the great state of Ohio, USA. He first got into music when a fellow weirdo in his catholic high school needed someone to play guitar with. They jammed on some Grunge Rock, but soon he got hooked on the blisteringly-fast shredding of Randy Rhoads and other greats. Later, he bought Metallica's Ride The Lightning as his first album purchase. During that time, his friends and him would end up at local Metal shows. He played in some bands himself as well.
