Sometimes you just need a good shredding … you know, guitar work that taxes the strings to the point of popping and punishes the fret board to the point of igniting.  That’s exactly what you get with the Giordano Boncompagni release entitled New Shred Generation.  One of Italy’s finest, Boncompagni’s axework mixes in Traditional Metal with Neo-Classical Metal elements, and blends in a touch of crunching Thrash to add revved-up power and force to New Shred Generation.  As far as shredding goes, there’s really nothing ground-breaking or “new” contained within this album … but it’s a well-written and solid instrumental album nonetheless.

He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
