Hailing from Denmark, Meridian present their newest release: Breaking The Surface. At eight songs—the first being an intro—this is a short LP. But, each song carries some serious weight, making it a great album to put on repeat and let the anticipation build as the tracks go from familiar to addictive. Meridian aptly chose “City Of Holy War” to release as a single. An adrenaline rush kicks in immediately with its fist-pumping riff, supported by an intriguing lyrical theme.

The entire album is well-mixed, well-written Melodic Metal. Singer Lars Märker’s boyish voice may raise an eyebrow, but don’t let that deter you. He sings with clarity, power, and is always on point. The final track, “The Meaningless Wrong”, will give you chills as his voice cuts right through you with the delicate precision of a Samurai. It will be interesting to see where this band goes. With only two albums under their belt, they certainly have a strong start.

Songs from this new release will be featured at 6:00/18:00 CET & Midnight/Noon EST on the day indicated.
