Seattle, USA’s Q5 is set to release their 3rd full-length album:  New World Order.  Diehard  ’80s fans may recall Q5, comprised mainly of TKO members, initially making a name for themselves in 1984, only to fold for the better part of 3 decades, but now resurrected by Frontiers Records.  Q5 plays a rather somber form of Melodic Metal.  New World Order has some decent guitar work and semi-catchy melodies, but Jonathan Scott K.’s delivery needs more energy and a demeanor that’s more upbeat.  Coupled with muddied production, the vocals tend to create tracks with an uninspired vibe in need of a spark.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
