Zarpa may be new to many MER listeners, but this Spanish band has been flying the Traditional/Epic Metal flag for nearly 40 years, knocking out 15 studio albums during that time frame. This 4-piece’s latest offering is entitled Dispuestos Para Atacar, sung entirely in their native tongue. Vocalist Vincent Feijoo won’t be challenging Halford for his Metal God status anytime soon, but Zarpa does do a good job of cranking out quality riffs, solos and overall enjoyable song structures. If you’re an Old School Metal fan and can handle non-English lyrics, this album is worth checking out.
