Headless is an Italian-based band (mainly) headed up by Goran Edman who graced the Metal Community via past work with Yngwie Malmsteen.  Headless’ latest release is entitled Melt The Ice Away, which is predominantly comprised of Melodic Hard Rock.  However, a couple-three tracks (out of 9 in total) successfully spread their wings into Metal realms.  This album tends to focus on Edman’s vocal talents more than featuring the band’s musicianship.  If you’re an Edman fan, that may greatly enhance your enjoyment of Melt The Ice Away.  For others, this Headless release may come across as rather vanilla and overly polished.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
