Lucid Dreams hails from Norway, and Build And Destroy is their sophomore release.  The band plays predominantly Melodic Metal – what you’ll hear in Build And Destroy is straightforward without many bells or whistles.  This 8-track release is rather “short” by today’s standards (about 40 minutes), but those 8 are generally solid from beginning to end.  The musical talent and songwriting ability of the band both seem to be in place … however, vocalist Fredrik Sindsen comes through a bit awkwardly at times, and needs to work on his delivery by “selling” his performance with more “punch” within each track.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
