The Sweet brothers along with Tim Gaines and Oz Fox have released a new hard-hitting Christian Metal album entitled Fallen … marking Stryper’s 9th studio effort. Back in the ‘80s/‘90s, Stryper was a novel idea wrapped in a ton of hair and make-up … after all, God sells no matter what the playing field is. However, along the way – especially in the last half-dozen years – Stryper “legitimized” themselves as a Traditional/Melodic Metal band that has talent, motivation, and yes … relevance. Fallen is a solid album throughout, and Michael Sweet’s pipes still ring truer than the Notre Dame church bells.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
