Zierler is a new “supergroup” headed up by keyboardist extraordinaire Finn Zierler from Beyond Twilight acclaim, and ESC is the band’s first offering. Those familiar with Zierler will know he is a Progressive Metal artist who prefers the dark and doomy side of the genre … which is a rather unusual trait considering Progressive Metal tends to focus on existential ponderings and the inner sanctum of mankind.

With Kelly Sundown Carpenter’s dramatic schizophrenic vocal style fitting in well with Zierler’s songwriting approach, you’ll find plenty to keep your interest when listening to ESC.  Not for everyone, but worth checking out.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
