George Lynch and Lynch Mob’s latest release is simply entitled Rebel. If there’s any reason to extend George Lynch credit, it’s because of his willingness to change his playing style with the times … however, he typically seems to arrive just a little too late for the party.

Lynch was once a Hair Metal guitarist, only to shift briefly to NuMetal, and now his platform is Blues-based Hard Rock. Rebel is a “good” album, but Lynch’s cutting edge solos and innovative riffs appear to be long-gone … putting “Conformity” into this Rebel, and causing the album to suffer from Ho-Hum-Dum.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
