Shardborne are a 4-piece Progressive Instrumental outfit from Ireland, releasing a 7-track debut entitled Living Bridges. Like many Progressive bands, Shardborne’s music has a number of timing changes and shifts gears as well by blending various musical styles.  The tracks on Living Bridges all range from 6 minutes to 8.5 minutes, so you get plenty of song development within each track, and by and large they each have enjoyable parts to them and can stand on their own merits.  However, Shardborne seems to miss the mark on developing a true identity from track to track, making for an average release.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
