MF Ruckus is a new band out of the USA, and Thieves Of Thunder is their debut release. The band lists a number of influences, including Thin Lizzy, and Rose Tattoo, and plays a garage band style of Hard Rock/Traditional Metal. As MF Ruckus self-proclaims, they have nothing truly “new” to offer, rather their focus has been to draw off their Metal influences (including the Blues) to create a good Rock ‘n’ Roll album that sounds “familiar” and listens easy. By and large they accomplished what they set out to do… nothing overly innovative, but a decent album nonetheless.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
