Ilium is a Melodic/Power/Progressive Metal band out of Australia, and My Misanthropia is their 6th full-length release.  Ilium has gone through as many vocalists as Spinal Tap has drummers, and new to mix this time around is none other than Lance King, formerly of Balance Of Power and Pyramaze (and the first ever MER Guest DJ!!).   King has the talent to make any band a top notch outfit, and with Ilium’s style and song-writing acumen, King spreads his wings to show hidden capabilities fans may be surprised to hear. Overall, My Misanthropia is a captivating listen … check it out!

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
