Axemaster is a Power/Traditional/Thrash Metal band originally formed in the late ’80s out of Ohio USA that enjoyed some underground success through the early ’90s, only to go on what essentially seemed to be a permanent hiatus.  Recently reforming, Axemaster has released Overture To Madness with a new vocalist in Geoff McGraw. McGraw has a bit of grit and gravel to his voice, but by and large his style fits well into their forceful, no-frills brand of Metal. Though different in several ways, Axemaster’s Overture To Madness is similar in style and attitude to Accept’s classic Restless & Wild release.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
