Orden Ogan is an oddly-named band out of Germany, and Ravenhead is their latest oddly-named release. Over the years, Orden Ogan has morphed stylistically into an Epic Power Metal band very much in the vein of Blind Guardian. In fact, if you purchased Twilight Of The Gods (BG’s latest) at the same time as Ravenhead and played them back-to-back, you’d be hard-pressed to know exactly when one album started and the other finished. Seeb Levermann’s vocal style further amplifies their similarities to BG. Overall Orden Ogan’s Ravenhead is a solid effort, with its only obvious weakness being lack of originality.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
