Slash is at it again with a release entitled World On Fire – a 2nd time with vocalist Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge) and The Conspirators (Brent Fitz and Todd Kerns) rounding out the rest of the band.  Inducted in 2012 to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, Slash has made it known often how much he enjoys working with Kennedy, and with World On Fire’s 17 tracks (totaling a few seconds under 80 minutes), Slash shows he and Myles had a cornucopia of ideas churning about in the studio.  By and large, there are numerous great riffs and solos in Slash-fashion, but more than anything the true “featured” musician throughout World On Fire is Kennedy.  His vocal “prowess” and flare is apparent (if not dominant) throughout the album – so, if you like Myles Kennedy, you’ll love this album.  If not, you may find World On Fire to come across very average.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
