Thunder Lord is a Traditional/Power Metal band from Chile with a handful of albums to their credit. Originally released independently, Heavy Metal Rage is now being re-released via Iron Shield Records. Heavy Metal Rage is a befitting title to this album, as the guitars and production quality come through unpolished, with a naturally aggressive “garage band” sound. Vocalist Estaban Penaillillo comes through forcefully angry, however, his voice is too predominant in the mix. There are 9 tracks included, and each rock, but nothing ear-catching or overly innovative is on offer within Heavy Metal Rage, making for a low-end average release.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
