Royal Hunt is a veteran Danish Progressive Metal band headed up by keyboardist Andre Andersen, and A Life To Die For (think about that title for a few seconds) is their 12th studio release. DC Cooper is again behind the microphone for this album, and his talents seem perfectly suited for the band’s current direction, which incorporates more than occasional Symphonic and Orchestral Metal elements. There are only 7 tracks comprising A Life To Die For, but as is the case with many progressive bands, each track features plenty of length. Overall an enjoyable and innovative work of musical art.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
