Artical is a Greek Neoclassical Power Metal Band with some Progressive and Symphonic elements to their music, and Illusion X is their third studio album.  Known to many, Mark Boals (Malmsteen, Ring Of Fire, etc.) handles the microphone for Artical, and lays down an excellent performance, as do the Dimareli brothers on guitars, drums, and keyboards.  The eight tracks are filled with interesting musicianship and plenty of melody.  A little steam is lost as the album winds down towards the end, but by and large Artical can be commended for a successful mult-subgenre work of art … a recommended release.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
