Comprised of USA-based Metal veterans from the bands Pownd and Escape, Thunder Tribe has released their debut album War Chant. The band’s style vacillates a bit throughout War Chant … generally speaking, Thunder Tribe is a Melodic Metal band, but they occasionally include Progressive elements along with some Classic Hard Rock influences, and at times catchy lyrics come through reminiscent of the more aggressive side of Hair Metal. War Chant’s a solid release from start to finish, but seems to lack something (perhaps vocalist Michael Duncan’s overly emotional style isn’t the best fit?), which prevents the album from being “great”.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
