Impera is a Melodic Hard Rock “supergroup” headed up by Swedish drummer J.K. Impera, and Pieces Of Eden is the band’s sophomore release. With the well-known Tommy Denander playing guitar (Toto, Alice Cooper, among others), Mats Vassfjord on bass (Vinnie Vincent, among others), and Matti Alfonzetti (Jagged Edge, among others) manning the microphone, Impera has just about every base covered in Pop, Melodic Rock, and Melodic Hard Rock.  As you should expect, Pieces Of Eden is a solid Melodic Hard Rock listen … it lacks a bit of punch, but if this subgenre is your preference, you won’t be disappointed.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
