Vicious Rumors is a band spawned originally in 1979 by native Hawaiian Geoff Thorpe, who later moved to California to fulfill his dream.  Decades later in 2013, Vicious Rumors is set to release their 11th studio album, affectionately (and appropriately) entitled Electric Punishment. Vicious Rumors’ sound on this album is a mixture between Traditional Metal, unpolished Power Metal, and the more melodic side of Thrash.  Placing the vocals too far off in the distance within the mix is Electric Punishment’s only flaw, however, the musicianship and unrelenting extended jams embody a solid release worth your time from start to finish.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
