MASTERCASTLE – On Fire

Mastercastle is an Italian-based, female-fronted Melodic Metal band that meshes in Neo-Classical and Progressive elements, and the addition of famed drummer John Macaluso was the breaking news from 2012. On Fire is their 4^th release, and from start to finish each song comes across refreshingly unique and catchy within Mastercastle’s chosen soundscape. Emphatic kudos goes out to Pier Gonella for his seemingly unending supply of tasteful riffs and solos — all fitting within the structure of each song hand-in-glove. Vocalist Giorgia Gueglio performs commendably to avoid ruining any of the tracks, making On Fire a true gem of an album.
