To be honest with you, I didn’t expect too much when I got this album. After all, it’s been a good long while since Eric Martin’s voice blared out of my speakers.

Choosing to ignore his old band, Mr. Big and all of their live albums and best of releases, I was pleasantly surprised when My Disease kicks away all my doubts- it’s rocking!! It’s true, and hard riffin’ number two, Spaceman follows tightly. Then the title cut strolls along, and the album is off to an excellent start.

The whole album oozes pure class, and must be considered one of the contenders for best melodic rock album this year. Martin still sounds amazing, and let’s hope there’s a lot of punters ready to pick this baby up. Comeback of the year?

Highlights: Goin’ sane, Untouchable, My Disease, Everyday, Free of it, Carnival of souls.
