Look what the cat dragged in…another 80s band! Hurricane returns with 11 brand new tracks, released by those nice people at Frontiers records. The intro aside( Destroyer-inspired?), fiery opener, River gold, sets the pace, nice and fast. Hurricane consists these days of: Kelly Hansen, Jay Schellen and some session guys. Still, they sound like Hurricane, and Liquifury is a good lil’ comeback album.

Special mention must go to Kelly Hansen, sounding more powerful than ever. A real good singer, sounding like a cross between Lou Gramn and Joe Lynn Turner. High praise indeed! Switching effortlessly between riffy, rocking tracks and big ballads, Liquifury is a 80s record released in 2001. Old fans of Hurricane can safely invest in this.

Highlights: River Gold, Heart made of stone, Torn
