Dirty Honey proved once again they are a band continuing to rise. After a successful debut album tour, they are already back on the road in support of their new album Can’t Find The Brakes. As Justin and Jaydon told me “The title of the new album really fits our lifestyle at the moment” (interview here).

The band was in top form, giving a stellar performance at The Depot, in Salt Lake City. It took only a matter of seconds for singer Marc Labelle to began belting out the powerful sound of Dirty Honey. Opening the show with the title track of their new album “Can’t find the Brakes”. From start to finish his voice never wavered.

As the set progressed, the energy level in the room increased, not only with the band but within the entire venue. Guitarist John Notto is a perfect fit for their music and style. His explosive guitar work amazed the crowd as they continued with “California Dreamin”, “Heartbreaker”, “Scars” and “Dirty Mind” from the new album. I was very pleased to hear music from both their albums blend perfectly, keeping that raw Rock and Roll sound.

Rounding out the massive sound, was bassist Justin Smolian, and new drummer Jaydon Bean who kept the thunder rolling, as they continued with songs such as “Tied Up”, “Coming Home”, “The Wire”, “Another Last Time” and finishing the night with “Rolling 7’s”. The U.S. tour continues, finishing up in December before going overseas.
