This Friday’s Guest DJ: DENIED

DENIED was formed in Upplands Väsby, Stockholm, Sweden in 2003 by guitarist and main man Andreas Carlsson. DENIED consists of ex-members from various bands like Opeth, Dark Funeral, Grave and Jaded Heart. They’ve earned a reputation as a great live act from their performances in various rock clubs throughout Sweden.

In June 2020 the band released The Decade of Disruption. The album was produced by Fredrik Folkare, with the vocal parts produced and recorded in Medley Studios, Copenhagen by renowned producer Søren Andersen (Glenn Hughes Band). The album also features a guest appearance by guitarist Lars Johansson of the legendary Candlemass.

On the Guest DJ Show this Friday, drummer Markus Kask of DENIED will play for you his favorite and/or inspirational music tracks. After his playlist, we’ll play a handful of tracks off their latest release, The Decade of Disruption.

The Friday Guest DJ Hour Show airs at the following times:

15:00 and 21:00 Central Europe
9:00 am and 3:00 pm US East Coast
6:00 am and 12:00 pm US West Coast

From the day he purchased his first album (Machine Head by Deep Purple), he has had a passion for heavy music, which has influenced his whole life. They released recordings by several local bands, and in the spirit of the old Metal Massacre compilations, he created a 2-album series called The Defenders of Metal. The albums featured classic styled Metal bands from all around the world, with bands from Australia to England, and from Argentina to Russia. Currently, he is the producer/creator/vocalist of the Metal band The Black Tuesdays.
