PRESTIGE hails from Tampere, Finland, and is one of the oldest and most established thrash metal bands in the country.

The early stages of the band go back to late ’80s. In 1988 PRESTIGE played their first gigs and released the Gods demo. Next 1989 was really successful with debut album Attack Against Gnomes, 12” maxi-single Priest and 7” EP Veijo released, as well as gigs and tours to follow. In 1990 PRESTIGE released the follow-up album Selling The Salvation, and in early 1992 their third album Parasites In Paradise saw day of light. Then the band took a break.

In 2007 the double CD digipak Decades Of Decay (a peculiar “Best of”) was released. Soon after the band got back together for some live events. In 2018 PRESTIGE entered the studio and re-recorded the 1988 demo again to celebrate the 30th anniversary – the special edition Gods Revisited. In the summer of 2020 PRESTIGE entered the studio again, but this time for a brand new music to be recorded. As a result Reveal The Ravage was released in August 2021.

Petar is a screener here at Metal Express Radio and makes sure that the new music we play on the radio is pure quality! He's been surrounded by music since birth. Both his parents graduated from music academy and then spent many years teaching in a music-profile high school. Petar himself discovered Rock music when he was a little kid back in the late 80s. His dad had lots of tracks on tapes, including Rainbow (DIO period). Later he and his brother bought some audio cassettes of The Beatles, Queen, Europe, AC/DC, etc. What really made him believe in Rock forever was the Deep Purple's live album Come Hell Or High Water (1994). Nowadays his preferences in Rock/Metal vary from Muddy Waters to Pantera, all the way through any sub genres you might think of.
