Leather Leone released her latest solo album II in 2018 [review]. Clearly, this Metal Express Radio contributor was late to the game. II marked Leather’s first solo album since 1989’s Shock Waves. Leather and her band were able to tour South America in 2019 in support of the album, with a U.S. trek planned opening for Grim Reaper. The U.S. tour never materialized. Over the last few months, Leone’s record label Divebomb Records released anniversary editions for two of her classic albums as the front woman of Chastain. Those albums were her first album with the group, 1984’s Mystery of Illusion, and her last album with them before leaving, For Those Who Dare. I got word that Leone is hard at work on the next Leather album as well. I decided to go to the source to find out what’s going on in the world of Leather Leone….
