Queen Of My Heart is the third studio album from Greek Melodic Hard Rock band Wild Souls. The band was formed in 2010 in Kavala, Greece and consists of George Nikolaou, vocals, Kostis Tsiligiris, guitars, Thanos Kalantzopoulos, guitars, Leyteris Nasos, bass, and Michael Saroglou, drums. The record also features guest appearances by Dimitris Kyriakidis, guitar on “I Remember You” and Tasos Kalafatis, keyboards on “Set Me Free” and “Hold Me Tight”.

Queen Of My Heart definitely portrays a Whitesnake, influence. Several of the songs call to mind Whitesnake tracks and Nikolaou’s voice often sounds very similar to David Coverdale on the record. “Queen Of My Heart”, the title track, especially calls to mind “Love Ain’t No Stranger”. “Snakebite” is another the has a very clear influence. The album kicks off with “Nothing But Loving You”, a slamming rocker that begins with pounding drums, a heavy riff, and a rafter rattling high note, letting the listener know right away that this record means business. Overall, Queen Of My Heart is a very good record. Each of the 12 tracks has something to offer. The production is good, and the songs are mostly well written radio-friendly Melodic Hard Rock.

Fans of Wild Souls, Melodic Hard Rock, and Whitesnake should definitely check out Queen Of My Heart.

About Stevie Shred 166 Articles
Stevie was a reviewer here at Metal Express Radio. He is currently the lead guitarist for Melodic Rock band Red Reign, based in Richmond, Virginia, USA. Red Reign toured with Tesla in 2017, and shared the stage with Dokken, FireHouse, Lita Ford, Kix, Quiet Riot, and others at various dates around the US in 2018. Stevie heard his first KISS record at the age of 6 and was immediately hooked on Rock and Roll guitar. Over the course of years his tastes evolved, graduating from KISS to Ozzy and Van Halen; and then into Hair Metal. Over time, harder and faster music drew him. Bands like Metallica, Pantera, and Anthrax led the way, and Killswitch Engage took him over the top. Stevie has a deep passion for the guitar, not only playing them, but building them as well.
