Slik Helvetika is the brainchild of the (perverted) Mik Myers, hailing from the USA. Despite no definition for the “Slik Helvetika” moniker, the band plays with plenty of catchiness, sleaze (at times), and raw energy.  With a small handful of albums to their credit, the common denominator is the controlled chaos often present in many Slik Helvetika songs.  Musically, you’ll hear a blend of Traditional, Glam, and Melodic Metal, without a full-out commitment to any subgenre.  Myers has a twisted sense of humor that’s well-placed in the lyrics, making for another successful album that’ll provide the get-up-and-go you may need.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
