The Winery Dogs are comprised of vocalist/guitarist Richie Kotzen (Mr. Big), bassist Billy Sheehan (DLR), and drummer Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater).   In 2013, their self-titled, Blues-infused Hard Rock debut hit the world by storm, and charted well everywhere. The band was rather quick to “ride the wave” of their Hot Streak, and this sophomore release was quickly born. Hot Streak starts out where their debut left off (somewhere betwixt great and awesome), but morphs into a melancholy mode for most of the latter half, which screams of a missed opportunity by the band to climb one step closer to immortality.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
