Orignially formed in the early ‘90s, Stormhammer is an Epic Power Metal band from Munich, Germany, and Echoes Of A Lost Paradise is their fifth studio release. If you like Power Metal whose song topics tend to follow a story line about how Metalheadz or Mighty Men of Lore enter into battle and conquer all in grandiose fashion and display, then you’re bound to enjoy this release by Stormhammer. Musically, they play solid up-tempo Metal and vocalist Jurgen Dachl admirably fills the role of delivering the victorious lyrics with self-appointed authority and pomp. Solid effort; perhaps somewhat over the top.
