Trauma is a band out of the San Francisco Bay Area that originally formed in 1981 – most notably in the band was bassist Cliff Burton (pre-Metallica).  The band’s style was more along the way of Traditional Metal than Thrash Metal as that segment of the USA was famous for (as well as Burton), but Trauma never went very far.  The band reformed earlier this decade, and their latest offering is Rapture And Wrath.  Amazingly (you decide if good or bad), production-wise this new release sounds as if it was made in 1981 – chock full of straight-forward, low budget Traditional Metal.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
