Space Vacation is a band from California, USA that plays a derivative of NWOBHM, and Cosmic Vanguard is their 3rd release.  With the band’s name and the album title, one could easily think that Space Vacation is an off-beat Progressive or Alternative Metal outfit, but don’t let them fool you.  These guys know how to ROCK, and Cosmic Vanguard is one of those albums that warm you inside because it gives hope that Traditional Metal bands who have kept the faith so long have apprentices out there to continue carrying the torch.  Space Vacation is worthy to carry that fire.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
