NIGHTGLOW – Orpheus

Nightglow is 5-piece Italian-based band and their latest release, entitled Orpheus, is their 2^nd full length to date. Nightglow plays a form of Modern Thrash filled with energy and vigor, and by and large Orpheus benefits from solid production. The “warning” here is Nightglow’s form of Thrash includes harsh shouted vocals mixed with semi-clean vocals – and plenty of them.  Those two styles turn on a dime … if you don’t like shouted vocals then this album will not be for you and it also won’t be if you detest clean varieties. Unfortunately, despite the passion, this album generally falls short.
