Lonewolf is a Power Metal band out of France, and Cult Of Steel is their 7th release.  The band plays it fast and loud, and their lyrics tend to focus on Heavy Metal conquering the world in Manowar-like fashion.  Cult Of Steel starts out very impressively with the title track, and also ends very impressively as well.  Actually, the first couple and last couple tracks are about as good as it gets in Fantasy/Epic Power Metal … the problem is all the tracks in-between sound nearly identical to one another, and vocalist Jens Borner doesn’t complement any of them well.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
