Lord Volture is a 5-piece band out of the Netherlands, and Will To Power is their 3rd release (first supported by a record label). The band plays a “fresh” form of Power Metal that blends Traditional Metal elements of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden with a few Progressive elements a la Annihilator, all wrapped up in an American-style of Power Metal in the vein of Iced Earth. Will To Power incorporates a solid vocal performance by David Marcelis and plenty of tasty riffs and extended jams headed up by guitarists Paul Marcelis and Leon Hermans … definitely worth checking out.

    Dan is a former partner at Metal Express Radio, and also served as a reviewer, photographer and interviewer on occasions. Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album.
