Adamantra is a Finnish Symphonic/Progressive Metal band with an LP and EP to their credit prior to this Act II: Silent Narratives release.  In the music business, one of the “givens” with just about any album is bands try to put their best foot forward right away and feature their best tracks at the beginning of the running order.  Such presumptions are not always the case, however, in the world of Thematic Progressive Metal, and Adamantra is a case in point.  Act II builds intensity, creativity, virtuosity, and overall enjoyment as the album unfolds, making for an overall impressive release.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
