Metal Inquisitor is a Traditional Metal band from Germany, and Ultima Ratio Regis is their 4th release.  The band is about as “traditional” as any band in this subgenre:  a lead vocalist with range, twin guitar attack, lots of energy and a very “familiar” feel to their sound, especially if you’re a fan of Judas Priest or Accept.  In fact, the only “weakness” in Ultima Ratio Regis is that several of the riffs and song structures sound as if they borrowed a few classics generated by the aforementioned bands.  However, if you enjoy Old School Metal, check this one out.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
