StormWarrior is a German Power Metal band, and Thunder & Steele is their latest release. Topically, the band tends to focus their writing on lineage/heritage, making them Epic Metal lyrically, but certainly not sonically. Sound-wise, Thunder & Steele is solid … lots of guitar and drum work at amphetamine speeds along with the requisite “on the brink of disorganization” song structures that have made the German style so awesome over the years. However, the album suffers from the tracks sounding too similar, and the frenetic musicianship tends to come through as just a bunch of notes as the album progresses.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
