The oddly named Greek band Armageddon Rev.16:16 (“Armageddon”) just released their first full length album, Sundown On Humanity, even though they’ve been in existence for several decades. For those interested, the band’s biblical reference is: “Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon”… so the album’s title appears fitting to the band’s modus operandi. Like many Greek bands, Armageddon plays skillfully crafted Power Metal, but there are also occasional progressive elements to their music. Regardless, Sundown On Humanity is a quality release from start to finish, suffering only from sub-par production quality.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
