Vanden Plas is a veteran Progressive Metal band from Germany, and Chronicles Of The Immortals – Netherworld is their latest concept album, which was spawned and suggested by the popular German writer Wolfgang Holhbein, and subsequently picked up by vocalist Andy Kuntz. Allegedly, the band has already completed Path 2 of this concept album, but they’re going to wait to release Path 2 until the dust settles on Path 1, presumably paving the way for about a year. Kuntz, as always, belts out an enjoyable vocalist performance, however, the music tends to meander around without focus towards virtuosity and/or substantive originality.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
