Switchblade is a Traditional Metal band out of Israel, and Heavy Weapons is their debut release. Self-stated by the band, Switchblade didn’t come into being to reinvent Metal, rather they exist in order to relive its past. On the positive side, there’s plenty of crunching guitar riffs provided by Federico Taich and Venedict Pavlovic along with impressive drum rolls by Moshe Sabach to sink your teeth into, but that’s generally where the good news ends. Lior Stein’s vocals are way too predominant in the mix and he often comes through out of pitch, unfortunately making Heavy Weapons an overall difficult listen.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
