Almah is a Progressive Power Metal band from Brazil, headed up by former Angra vocalist Edu Falaschi, who was instrumental in Angra’s mega-success in especially South America in the earlier part of this century. Almah’s latest release Unfold is a double album comprised of 12 tracks that focuses on the concept of standing firm to turn negative situations into positives. Many of the tracks are in excess of 8 minutes long, but just about all of them will never tire. Unfold is a skillfully made album that is produced well and Edu at the microphone seals the deal. Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
