Iron Mask is a Power Metal band with Neoclassical elements founded by guitarist Dushan Petrossi from Belgium, and Fifth Son Of Winterdoom is the band’s 5th studio album, featuring veteran vocalist Mark Boals (most notably from Yngwie Malmsteem). Musically Fifth Son Of Winterdoom is both aggressive and precise (not uncommon for the Neoclassical subgenre), and Boals nails just about every song on the album. The album’s thematic messages were partially influenced by Petrossi’s relationship with his father, who died last year… and occasionally the melancholy nature of those messages bring down the otherwise impressive energy level of the album.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
